Another reason why installing solar in the Fall is ideal is because you can start to roll your meter back for the next hot season.  Most California residents with residential solar panels go on to a net metering plan when they go solar. This means that the energy your panels make in the months you do not use as much electricity can be reserved to offset high use times.  Installing solar in the summer means there is no time to get energy reserves stocked to your utility account.  The earlier the system is installed, the more quickly you will see a return on your investment.

Installing your residential or commercial solar panels before the end of the year means that you can maximize your solar tax incentives.  The federal tax incentive is currently sitting at 30%.  With only one more calendar year left where you can take advantage of 30%, now is the time to begin getting a quote started for a quick install.  The tax incentive drops to 26% at the end of 2019 – so, making the decision to go solar, sooner, gives you an excellent return on your investment and awesome tax savings.
