Antioch, CA – Open since 1924, Delta Bowl has been the go-to spot for families, and bowlers of all levels. At 35,000 square feet and many recent upgrades to the bowling center. This includes cosmic bowling, updated lounge, snack bar, full arcade, laser tag and much more. Families can easily spend the entire day here.
The Goal for Delta Bowl
With the goal to reduce its carbon footprint and save money on its energy bill, Delta Bowl decided to go solar with Del Sol Energy. In the next 30 years, they will save over 1.3 million dollars in electricity costs. The system is installed using a ballasted, non-penetrating racking system and produces 139,204-kilowatt hours per year offsetting a large portion of the bowling alley’s electricity.
The Specs
Installation of 97-kW Enphase microinverter-based ballasted rooftop solar system was installed late 2019. They received permission to operate in February. The system provides clean, reliable solar energy for Delta Bowl’s 35,000 square-foot entertainment facility. Enphase microinverter-based systems fully meet rapid shutdown requirements set forth in the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC). This is with no additional electrical equipment needed. With Enphase microinverter-based systems, Delta Bowl customers and staff are not at risk. No risk from high-voltage DC cable runs on the roof or down the sides of the building, and they pose a significantly lower fire risk from arc faults as compared to other inverter technologies.
